WONDERS OF GOD IN OUR LIVES
To not pay attention is to miss
the wonder of being alive. We need to live intentionally, with our antennae up.
We need to notice our life as we are living it. Why? For three reasons
The first is to appreciate all
that God has blessed us with. Given the chance to live our lives again. Second,
we need to notice what’s going on around us to keep us headed in the right
direction in our lives and lastly, we need to notice what’s going on around us
so we can be there for others.
This season we are celebrating
the birth of Jesus Christ, Him being a great gift ever to mankind, let us pay
attention to this, when it is a gift then it is undeserved. This is the reason
why we all have to keep appreciating God for the gift. Do not forget also that
this is a season of reaching to one another with various kind of gifts,
blessing other with your possession be it material, cash or kind as God enables
us.
As per the issue of thankfulness,
a lot of remembering have to take place, we must remember all that our mind has
forgotten, we have to bring to remembrance the details of His love and care, we
must remember these when confusion set in, particular when the road becomes so
darken, we must remember to thank Him when our prayers are answered, we must not
quickly forget thanking God when there is delay in whatever facet of life.
Sometimes the picture is not
clear, and you are in the place of saying, “God, this doesn’t make sense.” He is with you, do not allow the
temporary confusion to rob you of His presence. When we are on the receiving
end of pain and can’t yet see or understand why we’re in such trials, we can
find it so hard to trust. So hardly will you be in thanksgiving mood when you don’t
trust. We are called to break this yoke this season. We will trust Him because
He has been there for us.
What is your story this season?
What testimony are you sharing with your family members? Is it story of what
God hasn’t done, or story of lacks and inadequacies that saluted you this year?
Yes you might be correct but would it not make better sense and glorify God if
all you choose to remember are the beautiful moments when God appeared in your
situations. I am appealing to us, let us REMEMBER that our God deserves our
appreciation and lets us show it.
