Remember to show Him Appreciation

REMEMBER TO SHOW HIM APPRECIATION

Enter [God’s] gates with thanksgiving and His court with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name – Psalm 100:4

Throughout the bible we are commanded to be thankful. A spirit of thanksgiving is one of the most distinctive marks of a Christian whose heart is attuned to the Lord
First, we are to be thankful for the material blessings God gave us. Some people are never satisfied with what they have, but what difference it makes when we realize that everything we have, has been given to us by God!

Second, thank God for the people in your life. It is so easy to take them for granted, or to complain or become angry because they don’t meet our every wish. But we need to give thanks for our spouse, our children, our relatives and our friends. Most of all, thank God for Christ and his love for you.
Third, thank God in the midst of trials and even persecution. We draw back from difficulties but none of us is exempted from trouble. Yet in the midst of trails we can thank God because we know He has promised to be with us and help us. For the Christian, every day is Thanksgiving Day!

It is actually wise to embrace each day with thanksgiving because the blessing for each day is wrapped in our thanksgiving to God. For this reason, the scriptures encourage us to train our minds to be conscious of this, always remember to say thank you Jesus even when you think you don’t have any reason to say thank you.

Thank Him for His wisdom through which he created the heaven and the earth, thank Him for making you in his image, thank God for giving you Jesus for a savior, thank him for eternity with Him, thank Him for having you in mind and that He has gone to prepare a place for you. Thank Him for everything around you.

God delights in the praises of His people, when we have the grace to remember yesterday, where we were, who we were and what people around us thought we would not achieve, reconcile that to your present state you will surely know that God hasn’t brought you this far to abandon you. In that light, you will give him your heartfelt praise. Hallelujah!

THANKSGIVING IS ONE OF THE MOST DISTINCTIVE MARKS OF A CHRISTIAN WHOSE HEART IS ATTUNED TO THE LORD.
